How to write in Devanagari script by hand? (If my tips don't make sense, please ask your questions in the comments section).
Devanagari script doesn't a separate hand written from, capital letters or cursive writing. It is written as it is printed, although, of course, the handwritten Devanagari varies from person to person just like the handwritten English. Basic tips to keep in mind while writing in Devanagari:

1. Make sure the Devanagari line, "hangs" on the upper line. Imagine that Devanagari characters are like hangers that hang on a rod (the line) that is placed up in the wardrobe (up = the upper line of a lined writing paper).
2. While writing a word in Devanagari, first you are supposed to write the letters and then draw the line, as if we draw the line first, we will not know how long the word is really going to be and we risk the line to become "too long", which will not look nice.
3. While writing, make sure you make your consonant signs look different from each other, especially pay attention to ए - ै, ऐ - े, इ - ि, ई - ी, ओ - ो, औ - ौ, उ - ु, ऊ - ू.

hi i'm learning a lot on this page but please can u explain me what is ksha tra gya shra. What are the uses?
Hi!क्ष (ksha),त्र (tra),ज्ञ (gya), श्र (shra) are normal Devanagari letters (last four in the script). They are used like any other syllables and I have not included them in my Youtube Devanagari script only because they are not very very common (time to update).
Anyway the usages are:
क्ष - क्षत्रिय (ksha - kshatriya - warrior);
त्र - त्रिशूल (tra - trishool - trident);
ज्ञ - ज्ञानी (gya - gyaanee - wiseman);
श्र - श्रमण (shra - shraman - the saint of Jain religion).
Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to write the "Om Ah Hum" mantra in Devanagari, since I can't find an example of it anywhere! When I search the "om" symbol by itself, the Devanagari form shows up most frequently, but if I search the phrase "om ah hum", usually the Uchen form is used. What are "ah" and "hum" in Devanagari??
Hi, I look for the Devanagari poster youtalk about in your youtube video named "DEVANAGARI SCRIPT (Complete-illustrated-for kids) ".
I looked for in your Blog but unfortunately, I haven't found it yet.
Can you help me and tell me where I can find it, please ?
thx for your help., jp
